3783234 - Custom MDF Parent object rule shows 404 error message instead of a configured rule message on latest People Profile

Symptom

Business rule on a parent custom MDF object behaves incorrectly when “Enable the latest Viewing, Editing, and History UI on Full Profile (With Non-Configurable UI)” is enabled for custom MDF cards.
In the non-configurable full profile UI, the rule initiates but behaves differently than expected.
Instead of showing the configured rule validation message, a 404 error code is shown.
With the configurable UI, the same rule works as expected.

Reproducing the Issue

Enable “Enable the latest Viewing, Editing, and History UI on Full Profile (With Non-Configurable UI)” for custom MDF cards in People Profile.
Open the parent custom MDF object (with parent–child setup) in the Full Profile.
Perform an action that should invoke a validation business rule on the parent object.
Observe that a 404 error code appears instead of the configured business rule error message, which is confusing for customers

Cause

Known product defect affecting business rule error handling for parent custom MDF objects when using the Latest Full Profile (Non-Configurable UI).

Resolution

Engineering team has delivered a code correction for this issue - the fix is planned to be available with the 2H2026 release.
