3783256 - Business rule to trigger error message upon withdrawal of pending leave request does not work as expected - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

An error message intended to block the user from withdrawing a pending leave request is not displayed correctly during workflow withdrawal.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

1. Proxy as a user.
2. Apply for annual vacation leave and ensure the request is in pending approval status.
3. Open the Pending Workflow Requests.
4. Open the leave request workflow and withdraw the request.
5. Blank Error message is displayed
6. Intended error message via the Employee Time rule is not displayed

This is a known system limitation: onSave/Validate rules assigned in the Employee Time object to raise errors or warnings are not supported.

The system throws a validation error message if you try to assign such rule in the Employee Time object and Save.

Error: You cannot assign business rules rules that raise an error or warning message. Please unassign these rules (XXXXX) from the Employee Time object definition. For validations, you can assign Take rules to a time type.
