3783297 - Unable to execute remote stored procedure after upgrading ASE - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The customer upgrades the ASE from ASE 16.0 SP04 PL06 HF1 to ASE 16.1 SP00 PL02. 
  • After upgrading, the customer is unable to execute remote stored procedure calls on a remote server that points to itself. 
  • Enable CIS and RPC handling are enabled or set to 1
  • The command "connect to <logical_server_name>" is stuck and never returns
