3783308 - Remote Server hangs when SSL is enabled and default network packet size is 512 - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The  customer upgrades ASE from ASE 16.0 SP04 PL06 HF1 to ASE 16.1 SP00 PL02 
  • The customer is unable to execute remote stored procedure calls on a remote server that points to itself
  • The command "connect to <logical_server_name>" is stuck and never returns 
  • SSL encryption is enabled
