3783355 - Option to Simulate "All Instances with Errors" in Migration Cockpit does not Appear

Symptom

You are operating a migration project for which a simulation has been completed with errors.

When trying to re-trigger the simulation, the option "All Instances with Errors" does not appear in the New Simulation popup.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Migrate Your Data app.
  2. Open the migration project.
  3. Search for the migration object for which the simulation has been completed with errors.
  4. Click on the Actions dropdown menu.
  5. Click on Simulate.

In this popup to start a new simulation, the option "All Instances with Errors" does not appear.

Cause

The option to simulate "All Instances with Errors" only appears in situations where the previous migration was completed with both erroneous and successful records.

In situations where all records finished the simulation in error status, the option for all records with error is redundant to the "All Instances" option.

Resolution

The system works as expected.
