Symptom
New G/L accounts created via the Expert Worklist in the Manage Operating Chart of Accounts app by referencing existing G/L accounts are expected to inherit the same Financial Statement Version (FSV) hierarchy as the reference account. However, some of the newly created G/L accounts are not assigned under the corresponding FSV node of the referenced G/L account.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- In Manage Operating Chart of Accounts, prepare and upload a spreadsheet to create multiple new G/L accounts by referencing an existing G/L account.
- Open Manage Global Hierarchies and review the relevant financial statement version.
- Observe that only some of the new accounts appear under the same hierarchy node as the reference account, while others are missing.
Resolution
The issue is confirmed as a known issue and planned to be corrected in a future release.
The "Manage Global Hierarchies" app can be used to manually configure the hierarchy as a workaround.
