3783490 - Datasphere - Delta Load in a Replication Flow works even when Delta Capture is switched off on the target table in SAP Datasphere

• You have created a Replication Flow in SAP Datasphere using the Initial and Delta load type.
• The Delta Capture setting on the target local table is switched off.
• Despite this, the delta load of the replication runs normally and replicates changes as expected.

This behavior is expected. It is possible for the delta load to work even if Delta Capture is not enabled on the target local table. The Delta Capture setting on the target table is not a prerequisite for using the Initial and Delta load type. It only controls whether changes to the target local table itself are recorded for further delta processing.

Local table as target

For the Initial and Delta load type, SAP recommends using a target local table with Delta Capture enabled, but it is not mandatory. The Initial and Delta load of the Replication Flow will run correctly regardless of the Delta Capture setting on the target table. See Local Table as Target | SAP Help Portal.
