Symptom

Outbound messages are not visible in the app of S4 "Message Monitoring for integration experts".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the “Message Monitoring for integration experts” app in S/4HANA Cloud.
  2. Search or filter for outbound Business Partner replication messages (for example, scenario SAP_COM_0008).
  3. Observe that outbound messages are not shown, while inbound confirmation messages are visible.

Cause

A known issue in the “Message Monitoring for integration experts” app causes outbound logs to be hidden when the Communication Arrangement for Business Partner integration (SAP_COM_0008) is configured with a C4C-enabled target system; replication still executes successfully. The issue is fixed in release CE2608.

Resolution

  1. Verify whether the Business Partner integration uses Communication Scenario SAP_COM_0008 with a C4C-enabled target system; if so, the behavior is due to the known issue prior to CE2608.
  2. Update the S/4HANA Cloud tenant to release CE2608 or higher; the display issue is resolved by this release and requires no additional configuration.
  3. If a test tenant is already on CE2608 or higher, validate there that outbound logs are now visible in the “Message Monitoring for integration experts” app.
  4. After the production tenant is upgraded to CE2608 or higher, re-check the app to confirm outbound logs appear as expected.
  5. Until the upgrade, rely on inbound confirmation messages in the app to verify successful replication.
