3783987 - No Released API for Cancel Actions in Monitor Value Chains - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

There is a requirement to automate the cancellation of process steps in the Monitor Value Chains app, for example:

• Post GR to Receiving SiT (GRRV)
• Post GI from Issuing SiT (GIIV)

However, no released API or communication scenario can be identified that provides the same Cancel action available in the Monitor Value Chains app.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Monitor Value Chains app.
2. Search for the relevant business process, for example an Advanced Intercompany Stock Transfer process.
3. Open a process containing a completed process step such as GRRV or GIIV.
4. Observe that the process step can be canceled using the Cancel action in the application.
5. Attempt to identify a released API or communication scenario that provides the corresponding cancellation action for external or automated processing.
6. No released API or communication scenario providing the Monitor Value Chains Cancel action is available.

The Cancel actions for Value Chain Monitoring process steps are application-specific functions of the Monitor Value Chains app and are not exposed through a released public API or communication scenario in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Released APIs for the underlying business documents, where available, do not provide the corresponding Value Chain Monitoring process-step cancellation functionality.

There is currently no released public API or communication scenario available to automate the Cancel actions of process steps in the Monitor Value Chains app.

Cancel the relevant Value Chain Monitoring process steps using the standard applications and the cancellation sequence documented for the respective business process.

If a released API for this functionality is required for a business scenario, a feature request may be submitted through the SAP Customer Influence program. Feature requests can be reviewed and voted on by other customers, and the feedback may be considered by SAP Product Management when evaluating future product enhancements.
