Symptom
Changes made to a Case status description through Language Adaptation are not reflected in the Case entity.
- The original status description continues to appear in Case records, filters, selection lists, and KPI cards.
- The updated status text is not displayed after saving and publishing the adaptation.
Environment
- SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to System Settings
- Language Adaptation.
- Modify a Case status description.
- Save and publish the adaptation.
- Open a Case record or access a Case status filter, selection list, or KPI card.
Result
- The original status description is still displayed.
Expected Result
- The updated status description is displayed consistently throughout the Case entity.
Cause
The description change was not maintained for the corresponding User Life Cycle Status code list value of the Case entity in the required language.
Language Adaptation changes must be applied to the correct code list entry and language. Changes made elsewhere do not affect the status descriptions displayed in Cases.
Resolution
To update the displayed Case status description:
- Navigate to System Settings
- Language Adaptation.
- Search for Cases - sap.crm.service.caseService.
- Open the Code Lists tab.
- Select User Life Cycle Status.
- Locate the required status code value.
- Enter the desired description in the appropriate language column.
- Save and publish the adaptation.
- Verify that the updated description appears in:
- Case records
- Status filters
- Selection lists
- KPI cards
