Symptom

Default Note Types Cannot Be Removed

Environment

  • SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2
  • SAP Sales Cloud 2
  • SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Data administration.
  2. Open Note type assignment.
  3. Click Sales Order - Item
  4. Check action buttons.

Cause

Standard delivered note types configurations are not editable.

Resolution

Acknowledge that changing, removing, or disabling standard delivered note types (Internal Notes and External Notes) is not supported.
