Symptom
When a Base Data Model or CSF Data Model is imported with a different field order, BCUI does not update the field order to match the imported data model. Instead, it retains the existing field order.
For example, for the CSF element homeAddress_USA, if the current BCUI field order is Address 1 → Address 2 and a CSF Data Model is imported with the field order Address 2 → Address 1, the field order in BCUI remains Address 1 → Address 2 after the import.
The field order in BCUI should always be synchronized with the order defined in the imported Base Data Model or CSF Data Model.
Environment
SuccessFactors Employee Central 2605
Reproducing the Issue
- Import data-model with revised field order from source instance to target instance.
- Check BCUI
- Field order in various elements/CSF elements do not match recently imported SDM/CSF SDM.
