3784339 - Upload business configuration (F4638) misinterprets comma decimal values during upload

Symptom

  • When uploading an Excel file (.xlsx) with decimal values via the Fiori app "Upload Business Configuration" (F4638), decimal values are incorrectly converted during the upload process.
  • Example: A source value of 8,40 (German decimal notation) is converted to 84,00 in the simulation/preview step.
  • Values without decimal places are uploaded correctly.
  • When entering the same decimal values manually into the custom table, the values are stored correctly.
  • The issue occurs for users whose SAP user settings use the German decimal notation (1.234.567,89 — dot as thousands separator, comma as decimal separator).
