Symptom
One or more of the following symptoms are observed when using Replication Flow in SAP Datasphere:
- The initial load or delta load takes longer than expected or does not complete within the expected processing window.
- Replication throughput is lower than expected.
- The Replication Flow completes successfully without a functional error, but further performance improvement is requested.
Environment
- SAP Datasphere
- ABAP-based Source System
Cause
There are several factors that influencing Replication Flow performance, for example:
- Available resources in both ABAP system and Datasphere tenant
- Number and size of the replication objects, data volume and record structure
- Network throughput and latency
- Customer-specific throughput and completion-time requirements
As a result, there is no single configuration that provides optimal performance for every landscape.
Resolution
Performance optimization normally requires interactive analysis, testing, measurement and adjustment. This type of interactive optimization, capacity planning and landscape-specific tuning is a consulting activity. It is distinct from the correction of a reproducible produce defect through a support case.

Support Issues via Case:
- There is an error or bug in the software
- Problems occur, when following SAP recommendation
- Problems occur, when applying SAP Note or KBA
- Missing or wrong/unexpected data
- Standard product functions have incorrect or missing documentation
For Support issues feel free to raise a Case. When creating a Case, make sure that you follow the recommendation from KBA 2854764 to ensure SAP can get a solution to you in the shortest possible time.
