3784625 - Error 'Job Information - You do not have the necessary permission.' while creating future dated records in PPX

If logged in user do not have "Access to future-dated data" permission then error 'Job Information - You do not have the necessary permission.' is raised while creating future dated records in PPX via 'Quick Action' and pencil icon/Edit button in PPX.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Job Information

• Ensure Manager 'A' do not have 'Access to Future-Dated Data' permission and direct reportee 'B' has 1 hire record as of past date.
• Create a future dated record via quick action using 'Change Location' for direct reportee 'B' as of future date and error is thrown
• Try same action via take action and system throws 'Job Information - You do not have the necessary permission.' error

Currently, 'Access to future-dated data' permission is required to create future dated records.

Product team has raised a enhancement request ECT-275355 to enhance the behavior and allow users to create future dated record without access to 'Access to future-dated data' permission, users should be still able to make future changes within the validity period of the currently valid record and planning to release it with 2H 2026(yet to be confirmed). Once confirmed, release notes will be updated with details.
