3784875 - Delivery Proposal / Outbound Delivery is Not Created for a Customer Return Despite Doing the Request Outbound Delivery

The Delivery Proposal or Outbound Delivery is not created for a Customer Return even after clicking on the button Request Outbound Delivery. 

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Sales Orders work center.
2. Select the Returns view.
3. Select All Returns.
4. Search for the Return XXX(XXX represents the Customer Return id).
5. Click on Edit and click on View All.
6. Navigate to the the Items tab.
7. Select the line item YYY(YYY represents the line item number).

We can see that the "Request Outbound Delivery" button is greyed out.

Also there is no change happening in the Customer Return after pressing the "Request Outbound Delivery" on the header level.

1. Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Select the Delivery Proposals view.
3. Select All Proposals by Selection.
4. Search for the return XXX.

System displays the message "No records found"

1. Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Select the Outbound Deliveries view.
3. Select All Outbound Deliveries by Selection.
4. Use the Advance Filter to filter it for the associated Customer Return id XXX.

System displays the message "No records found"

A warehouse request was created manually for the Outbound Delivery due to which the delivery proposal is not visible in the delivery proposals view of the outbound logistics work center.

The warehouse request which was created manually for the Outbound Delivery is not yet finished due to which the Outbound Delivery is not created for the Customer Return.

This can be checked via the following steps,

1. Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Select the Warehouse Requests view.
3. Use the Advance Filter to filter it for the associated Customer Return id XXX.

A warehouse request ZZZ will be present with the reference from the Customer Return id XXX with the status Released(ZZZ represents the ware house request id).

On further reviewing the warehouse request we can see that a Warehouse Task Returns Pick which is not finished, due to which the warehouse request is not finished.

This can be checked by the following steps, 

1. Open the Warehouse Requests.
2. Click on Edit.
3. Navigate to the Document Flow and select Extended View.

We can see that the Returns Pick Warehouse Task AAA is in the status Not Started(AAA represents the return pick Warehouse Task id).

After completing the Warehouse Task the Outbound Delivery will be created. The Warehouse Task can be confirmed by following the steps,

1. Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. select the Task Control view.
3. Select All Warehouse Tasks by Selection. 
4. Search for the return pick Warehouse Task AAA.
5. Select it and click on Confirm.

After the Returns Pick Warehouse Task AAA is confirmed the status changes to Finished the warehouse request gets finished which there by creates the Outbound Delivery.
