3785024 - Application error when rehiring inactive employee - Employee Central

When attempting to rehire an inactive employee, the process cannot continue due to an application error.

Error message displayed: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (error information includes errorId, timestamp, and version information)."

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Start the Rehire Inactive Employee process in Employee Central.
2. Select Accept Match (Same employment) for the returning user.
3. Attempt to proceed and submit the rehire.
4. Observe that an application error is shown and the process does not continue.

Duplicated record in one of the entities of the previous employment.

There are duplicate records in one or more entities for the user. The duplicate record may be in one of the effective-dated entities, such as Job Information, Compensation, or Job Relationships.

If the duplicate record cannot be found, please raise a ticket with SAP Support and share the complete error message received when the application error occurred.
