3785171 - High CPU on SAP ASE caused by large js_history table in sybmgmtdb - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • SAP ASE reports high CPU utilization.
  • monOpenObjectActivity shows sybmgmtdb..js_history generating an extremely high number of Logical Reads.
  • The Job Scheduler (enable job scheduler = 1) is running on the ASE instance 
  • 'job scheduler interval' is set to 1.
  • js_history row count is very large (hundreds of thousands to millions of rows) and oldest records date back months or years.
