3785641 - Application cannot connect to Hana database with rc=10061 on (localhost:7878) due to missing service-account hdbuserstore key, sap hana

Symptom

  • Applications are unable to connect to the database.
  • Error message: "Connection failed (RTE:[89006] System call 'connect' failed, rc=10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it (localhost:7878))".
  • R3trans -d returns 0000 but the server is not up from the application perspective.
  • Message: "no connection data found for key (DEFAULT) in secure store".
  • ABAP work processes show rcSQL=-10709 and "work process is stopped" during database connect.
