Error message appears when trying to start or complete a custom onboarding task: "You don’t have the VIEW permission for cust_task"

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Assign an onboarding custom task to a responsible user (for example, HR or the user's role).
2. From the home page (Needs attention) or the Onboarding Dashboard, select the task and click Start.
3. Observe the error: "You don’t have the VIEW permission for cust_task"

Missing target population for All External Users in the role-based permission (RBP) role used by the responsible user.

1. Create or edit the RBP role used by responsible users who manage onboarding custom tasks (for example, an onboarding admin role).
2. Ensure the role grants the necessary permissions to view the data object associated with the custom task.
3. Set the Target Population of this role to All External Users (External Onboarding Users).
4. Assign this role to the responsible users (for example, HR or the user's role) who need to open/complete the task.
5. Try again complete the task.
