3785760 - Goal card remaining on the homepage of the previous user after the transfer of goal via Goal transfer tool

• A user has a "For You Today" goal card on the home page; selecting Mark as complete results in an error.
• The goal was transferred via Goal transfer tool in Latest Goal Management

SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals

1. Login as the user.
2. Open the For You Today goal card with overdue goals and select Mark as complete.
3. Observe that a 403 error with a permission message is returned.
4. The goal was transferred to other employee

This is a Known issue.

The goal was transferred using the Transfer Goals Between Users tool for Latest Goal Management (UXR Goals), which does not refresh or remove the previous owner’s home page goal card. The stale/orphaned card remains for the prior owner, who no longer has write permission to edit the goal’s state, leading to the 403 error.

Product Engineering is investigating a solution.

Workaround

1. Temporarily remove goal cards from the home page at the card-type level to clear stale/orphaned cards.
2. Wait 1–2 hours for the deletion job to remove existing goal cards.
3. Re-enable the goal card type if desired. Note: after re-enabling, cards are generated only for newly created goals, not for existing in-progress goals.
4. Avoid using the legacy Transfer Goals Between Users tool with Latest Goal Management unless you plan to manually remove/refresh home page goal cards after transfers.
5. If stale cards persist or data has diverged, consider deleting the affected goals and regenerating them as an alternate method.
