3785793 - The requirement type of the sales order item doesn't match with the material planning strategy

The requirement type of the sales order item has an unexpected value. It doesn't follow the logic described in KBA3785219 - How the requirement type of the sales order item is determined in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Note down the requirement type in the sales order item.
2. Note down the planning strategy in the material master data.
3. Comparing the 2 values, find that they don't match each other.

The planning strategy of the material has been changed after the sales order creation. This means at the sales order creation, system is referring to the old planning strategy to determine the correct requirement type, which is now doesn't match with the new planning strategy.
The sales order creation time can be checked by clicking the "Display header details" button on the sales order header screen.
The change log of the material master data can be checked in Display Change Documents (MM04) app. 

The requirement type can be changed manually in the sales order according to the new planning strategy.
