3785855 - BANK_CREATE IDoc Updates Existing Bank Master Records Instead of Creating New Entries

Symptom

The business requirement is to use the BANK_CREATE IDoc interface to transfer only new bank master records to the target system. Existing bank master records in the target system should remain unchanged and should not be updated during IDoc processing.

However, when an inbound BANK_CREATE IDoc is processed for a bank key that already exists in the target system, the system updates the existing bank master record instead of skipping the existing entry.

Expected Behavior:

  • The system should create bank master records only for bank keys that do not already exist.
  • Existing bank master records should not be modified.

Actual Behavior:

  • The existing bank master record is overwritten/updated when the BANK_CREATE IDoc contains an already existing bank key.
  • No error message is issued during the processing.
