3786073 - Previously Assigned Materials Are Not Easily Searchable During Material Assignment in Inspection Plans

Symptom

In the Display Inspection Plan (QP03) application, it is not possible to quickly identify or search for materials that have already been assigned to an inspection plan. On the Material Assignment tab, the Find button/search function is not available, making it difficult to locate specific assigned materials when a large number of materials are linked to the inspection plan.

Environment

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open application "Display Inspection Plan" (QP03).
  2. Navigate to the Material Assignment tab.
  3. Attempt to search for already-assigned materials.
  4. Observe quick search/Find functionality is not available.

Cause

The Search/Find function is not supported in the "Display Inspection Plan" (QP03) application for the Material Assignment tab.

Resolution

To quickly find materials already assigned to an inspection plan, use the Manage Inspection Plans(F3788) Fiori app, which provides search capabilities for assigned materials. For assigning additional materials to an inspection plan, use the Change Inspection Plan application.

This combination enables efficient identification of existing material assignments while continuing to maintain material assignments through the application "Change inspection plan".
