3786139 - Termination related dates provided prior to day 1 during initiation are not supported - Onboarding

• Automatic hire from Onboarding to Employee Central fails and the hire remains in Manage Pending Hires (MPH).
• Error shown: “The new start date cannot be greater than the end date. Please enter a date on or before 1900-01-01 00:00:00.0.”
• Contract end date is blank after a candidate is initiated from RCM.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Initiate an automatic hire from Onboarding to Employee Central for a rehire with old employment.
2. During Onboarding data collection, provide a contract end date
3. When the system attempts the automatic hire, the record remains in Manage Pending Hires and the following error appears: “The new start date cannot be greater than the end date. Please enter a date on or before 1900-01-01 00:00:00.0.”

Another possible scenario:

1. Initiate a candidate from RCM, pass a value for the Contract End Date field.
2. Contract End Date field appears blank in onboarding.

• Behavior identified with rehires where a contract end date from the previous employment is already stored; validation compares the new start date with an end date, leading to the error.
• Onboarding does not fully support the fixed term employee type; the system does not allow termination-related dates to be provided prior to day 1 during Onboarding initiation.

1. For affected rehires, do not populate the contract end date during Onboarding data collection.
2. Allow the automatic hire to complete from Onboarding to Employee Central.
3. After day 1, update the contract end date directly in Employee Central.
4. If a record is already stuck in MPH due to this error, proceed with manually processing hire in MPH.
5. For New Hires, add the contract end date to the employee profile after the candidate is hired.
