3786161 - Workflow Details Do Not Display Changes

When reviewing a pending workflow as an approver with full permissions, observe that no data is shown in the workflow details page.

The banner displayed at the top of the workflow reads “Content displayed on this page is restricted based on user permissions. If you are looking for content that is not displayed on this page, it is possible that you do not have the required permissions”.

The workflow is set to "Respect RBP".

1. User makes change that triggers a workflow, for example, an address change to a certain field.
2. This is a picklist field, and the value being selected has the same label description as the previous value, the only difference is that they have different external codes. (E.g. Avenue (GB), Avenue (ESP)).
3. Proxy as approver and navigate to approval details page.
4. Observe that the workflow details page is empty/does not show the changed value i.e. the new value is not shown.
5. Approve the workflow and verify the selected change is reflected in the profile

Workflow details page will only show changed data fields. If picklist values are being used, please ensure the label description is distinct, and does not share the same label as any other value within that picklist.

This behavior is expected.

Where "Respect permissions" has been selected in the workflow, the workflow details page will only show changed values.

On the Workflow Details page, we display the label for picklist fields that have been changed. If the option has changed but the label remains the same, we will not display it on the workflow details page.

Our recommendation is to update the picklist labels so that each value has a unique label description. This will help avoid potential issues and ensure consistent system behavior across related processes and integrations.
