3786164 - VA05 returns no results for Customer Reference (VBKD-BSTKD) containing '#' character

Symptom

  • VA05 returns no sales orders when searching by Customer Reference that includes the "#" character.
  • The same Customer Reference value exists in VBKD but is not found by VA05.
  • Searching with a prefix and wildcard (for example, a prefix before "#" followed by "*") returns the sales order.
