Symptom
Billing output displays address lines in the wrong sequence when the street 3 field is empty in Business Partner Master Data.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the Billing Document Change app.
- Search the respective Billing document.
- Display the output request and open the document preview.
- Use a business partner where Street 3 in the address is not maintained.
- Observe that the printed/XML address line sequence appears shifted compared to the expected order.
Cause
The behaviour observed in this incident is consistent with the current output form logic and is working as designed.
Resolution
- Address fields follow a fixed sequence: Street 2, Street 3, Street, Street 4, and Street 5.
- If a field is not maintained (for example, Street 3), the subsequent address field (Street 4) is shifted up to populate the available position.
- Review the custom form template and verify that the field bindings are configured correctly.
- The standard SAP-delivered template was reviewed and no issue was identified; it functions as expected.
- The observed behaviour is therefore related to the implementation or configuration of the custom form template.
