Symptom
- Dimension members in a Public Dimension are not showing during data load mapping in the model.
- Searching for members during mapping returns the error: "Could not get account members".
- Specific members are not available for selection in the account mapping step.
Environment
- Product: SAP Analytics Cloud
- SAC Modelling
Reproducing the Issue
- Log on to the tenant.
- Open the target model in the modeler.
- Confirm the public dimension contains the expected members.
- Open Data Management and the draft data import job (based on a query).
- In the mapping screen: double-click the Public Dimension, remove it, then open Measures.
- Search for a member within the affected Public Dimension.
- Observe the error "Could not get account members".
- Attempt to map the account dimension: Members within the Public Dimension are not listed for mapping.
Cause
- For public dimensions, new members cannot be created or surfaced by importing data directly through a model’s data import/mapping. The required account members do not exist in (or are not published from) the public dimension at the time of mapping, which leads to the lookup failure and the "Could not get account members" error.
Resolution
- Fix is targeted for release in QRC4
