Symptom

  • BAdI LE_SHP_ATP_CHECK is not called while creating outbound delivery.
  • No specific error message or error code is provided.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the app 'Create Outbound Delivery – With reference'.
  2. Enter a sales order reference and choose Continue.
  3. Display the error log and review the Custom Logic Trace during delivery processing.
  4. Observe that no message is relevant to BAdI LE_SHP_ATP_CHECK and no trace found for the BAdI.

Cause

  • According to the BAdI documentation, LE_SHP_ATP_CHECK applies only to sales document items with special stock type E (Sales Order Stock) and can only disable the availability check in these cases.
  • Sales document items with other stock types will not trigger BAdI LE_SHP_ATP_CHECK.

Resolution

  1. Confirm in SSCUI '102974 - Define Delivery Item Categories' that the delivery item category requires ATP check.
  2. Verify the sales order item’s special stock indicator is set. The indicator can be set via assigned requirement type whose requirement class has special stock type E set. Requirement type including:KEK, KEL, BB6, CB4, MSR, S40, S45, S60.
