3786424 - Exchange Rate Import job fails in Application Jobs - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • The Request Current Market data job has been failing repeatedly.
  • Exchange rates are not updating in the system.
  • No specific error messages or error codes were provided.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Application Jobs app.
  2. Locate the scheduled Exchange Rate import job.
  3. Review recent job runs and observe the failed status; confirm that exchange rates have not updated.

Cause

The required business role "SAP_BR_TREASURY_SPECIALIST_BOE" was not assigned to the business user who created or runs the job.

Resolution

  1. Identify the business user who created the exchange rate import job.
  2. Assign the business role SAP_BR_TREASURY_SPECIALIST_BOE to this user.
  3. Rerun the exchange rate import job from the Application Jobs app and verify it completes successfully and that exchange rates are updated.
  4. If the job still fails, assign the same business role to the user account under which the job is executed (for example, the job owner or background execution user), then rerun and verify.
