3786429 - How to deactivate standard offboarding process variant Manager

• Request to deactivate the default offboarding process variant for offboarding.
• Following the instructions on the help page, no results are returned when filtering on the process variant ID.
• After suspending the process variant in manage process definitions, the status appears inactive there but does not appear as inactive under process variant manager.

 SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Go to Admin Center  BPE: Manage Process Definitions and open the filter.
2. Enter Offboarding2CoreWorkflow in the Process Definition Key Like field and apply the filter.
3. Select the process variant and choose Suspend under Change State.
4. Observe that the status appears Inactive in Manage Process Definitions.
5. Open Process Variant Manager and observe that the process variant does not appear as inactive there.

The standard-delivered default offboarding process variant cannot be deactivated; suspending it in Manage Process Definitions does not make it inactive in Process Variant Manager.

1. Create a custom offboarding process variant to replace the standard-delivered default.
2. Configure the custom variant to meet the organization’s offboarding requirements and activate it.
3. Update assignment rules so that only the custom offboarding process variant is assigned for all applicable scenarios.
4. Validate in Process Variant Manager that the custom variant is the one assigned by rules and that the default variant is no longer selected by any rule.
5. Test an offboarding initiation to confirm the custom variant is used and the default variant is effectively excluded.
