Space couldn’t be deployed.
We can provide the following information to assist either you or an SAP engineer to solve the issue:

Correlation ID: ***
HTTP Status: 400 error
Error Code: handleLargeSpaceLimit
Technical Message: You've reached the maximum number of 5 spaces with SAP HANA data lake files storage that can be created in a tenant.

However, when checking in the Space Management, only four spaces appear to be using SAP HANA Data Lake Files storage. Additionally, there are no file spaces in the Recycle Bin.

Environment

SAP Datasphere

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Space Management.
  2. Verify that the count of spaces using SAP HANA Data Lake Files storage is four, and that the Recycle Bin shows zero fille spaces.
  3. Attempt to create a new file space.
  4. Observe the error.

Cause

The issue is caused by a bug: the limit check incorrectly counts the space being created against itself, making the effective usable limit always limit-1.

Resolution

The bug will be fixed in the wave 2026.17. The delivery schedule can be checked in the note 2984828

Additionally, in the next wave, the limit will be automatically increased to 20.

Workaround:
Create a support ticket under the component DS-SM and request to increase the limit.
