3786558 - APP Maintain Bill of Material(Version 2)/F1813A does not apply change master validity date when change number contains “/” - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

In Maintain Bill of Material (F1813A), using Edit with Change Number and assigning a change master whose number contains the character “/” does not update the BOM key date to the change master’s validity date. The key date remains at the BOM creation date instead of the change master validity date.

1. In Manage Change Masters (F2212), create a change master with a validity date where the change number includes the character “/”.
2. Open Maintain Bill of Material (F1813A) and choose Edit with Change Number for a BOM.
3. Assign the created change number and observe that the key date remains the BOM creation date instead of the change master validity date.
4. Repeat with a change number that does not include “/” and observe that the key date updates correctly to the change master validity date.

It is known issue.

1. Use a change number that does not contain the “/” character as a temporary workaround when editing BOMs with Edit with Change Number in F1813A.
2. A correction is planned to be delivered with release 2608.3, targeted for mid-November 2026. Monitor release notes and update the system when the fix becomes available.
