SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2608

1. Call a OData service based on Custom CDS View (external API scenario) that uses I_CostCenter as the primary data source.
2. Observe the response returns no records.

• With release 2608, I_CostCenter was updated to add company code-based authorization (for example, F_BUKRS_MD), and custom CDS views require republishing to update access protection. For more information, please refer to the following documentation:

• In landscapes where systems are on different releases (for example, test on 2608 while development/production are on 2602), transporting from an older system does not include the updated authorization model, resulting in empty responses due to missing authorization.

1. Ensure all relevant systems in the transport path (development/customizing, test, production) are upgraded to release 2608.
2. In the development/customizing system, open each impacted custom CDS view that uses I_CostCenter.
3. Republish the custom CDS views to update their access protection as prompted by the rework task.
4. Transport the republished custom CDS views to test and production systems.
5. Re-test the OData calls to confirm that cost center records are returned as expected.

Workaround (before all systems are in the same release - 2608)

1. Create a communication arrangement for communication scenario SAP_COM_0943.
2. Assign the communication arrangement to the communication user used by the custom communication scenario where the external API is included.
