3786683 - Error "This email already exists in the system." when submitting Review Offboarding Information step - Onboarding

• See error "This email already exists in the system. Please provide a different email address." when the user submits the Review Offboarding Information step
• (For SAP Support only) Backend log: org.apache.http.ProtocolException: Target host is not specified.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Proxy as the offboardee user.
2. Open the Review Offboardee Information tile.
3. Submit the task.
4. Observe the error: "This email already exists in the system. Please provide a different email address."

The SAML Issuer URL in Provisioning > Single Sign On settings does not include the protocol (https://).

Note: The SAML Issuer URL is auto-populated. It's not supported to manually add protocol: "https://" directly in provisioning as the value will revert after saving.

Since updating SAML Issuer may affect other IAS aspects, engineering team is currently working in priority on a permanent code fix on this issue.

As a temporary workaround, it's suggested to disable Alumni or don't use Employee data review step until the fix is delivered by engineering team.

For now, the fix date is not yet decided for the known error. Latest information will be updated into this KBA.
