3786982 - [Known Error] New Joiner is not able to see pending "Complete Form I-9 Section 1 Awaiting SSN" after they are hired — Onboarding

• New joiner cannot see the “Complete Form I‑9 Section 1 Awaiting SSN” task on their home page after they become employee.
• When a candidate completes I-9 Section 1 without an SSN (triggering the "Awaiting SSN" flow) and is then hired via Manage Pending Hires (MPH), the resulting "Complete Form I-9 Section 1 Awaiting SSN" task is invisible to the employee on their homepage.
• The BPE Onboarding2I9Workflow instance is unconditionally terminated during MPH without creating a replacement task record for the now-hired employee.
• When the task was assigned to the ONB external user before hire, it should persist and remain actionable by the employee account after hire — but it does not. 

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Create a new hire without an SSN and start the I‑9 flow.
2. Complete I‑9 Section 1 and Section 2 without SSN and sign.
3. Complete hiring via Manage Pending Hires so the user becomes an employee.
4. Confirm that an outstanding “Complete Form I‑9 Section 1 Awaiting SSN” task exists in onboarding dashboard.
5. Proxy as the hired user and check the home page, the task is not visible.

This is a Known Issue.

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.
