3787091 - BAPI_BILLINGDOC_CREATEMULTIPLE allows invoicing beyond open sales order quantity in order-related billing; VF01 blocks with Message VF170

Symptom

  • In order-related billing with BAPI_BILLINGDOC_CREATEMULTIPLE, the system may create invoices for a quantity that exceeds the remaining open quantity of the referenced sales order item, resulting in total billed quantity greater than the order quantity.
  • In manual billing (VF01), the system blocks overbilling and issues Message No. VF170 indicating the open quantity must not be exceeded.
