• Restriction type 'Authorization to Process BOMs Without a Change Number' always raises the warning 'Enter change number - BOM has history requirement' in the Change Bill of Material app.
• A Role with Business Catalog - SAP_PLM_BC_MBOM_PC is maintained with Restriction type 'Authorization to Edit BOMs Without a Change Number' as ' '  ( Description : No ) but still it is possible to change a BOM in the Change Bill of Material App without a Change Number .
• Not possible to change the warning 'Enter change number - BOM has history requirement' into an error in S/4HANA Public Cloud .

1. Open the "Change Bill of Material" ( CS02 ) App.
2. Enter a value for Material, Plant and Bom Usage and press Enter.
3. Warning ‘Enter change number - BOM has history requirement' is displayed.

Restriction type  'Authorization to Process BOMs Without a Change Number'-(-C_STUE_NOH-) is in phase-in mode and will be deprecated in future.

The Restriction type  'Authorization to Process BOMs Without a Change Number' is still in use in the Change Bill of Material (CS02) app but will only report as a warning for BOMs with history requirements.

• SAP recommends using successor restriction type  'Authorization to process BOMs without a change number'  ( C_STUE_NOC ) which can be set specifically with 'Y' or 'N'.
• It is applicable on FIORI apps F1813 and F1813A (IAM Objects: Restriction Types in BOM Management).
• From 2608 onwards, restriction type 'Authorization to process BOMs without a change number' ( C_STUE_NOC ) would also work along with new SSCUI Configure History Requirement for BOMs (only supported in F1813A in CE2608).
