3787303 - Web Service Not Available for Installed Base

Symptom

The web service is not available for an Installed Base.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer (C4C)

 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Go to General Settings view.
  3. Go to Integration->Communication Arrangements.
  4. Check the available web services.
  5. No web service is available for the Installed Base.

Cause

Synchronous web services are not available for the Installed Base.

SAP recommends using OData services instead of web services for Installed Base related integrations. 

OData services for Installed Bases, Installation Points, and Registered Products are available under the virtual service C4C OData API. These services can be accessed through the OData Service Explorer in the Administrator work center.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Open the OData Service Explorer view.
  3. Search for the service name c4codataapi. 
  4. Select the service and click View.
  5. The InstalledBase service and other related OData services will be available for use.
