3787337 - Mass Change for Cost Centers does not update custom fields in Manage Cost Centers – New Version (release 2608) - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• When using the Mass Changes functionality in the Manage Cost Centers (New Version) (F1443B) app, custom fields from the business context Cost Center Master Data (FINS_COST_CENTER) can be included in the downloaded spreadsheet template.
• After modifying values in these custom fields and uploading the file, the system may return the following message:
  • "No Change detected in the uploaded file. Check your file and try again."
• The same custom fields can still be maintained manually in the cost center master data.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the manage cost centers – new version app in release 2608 and start the mass change for cost center master data.
2. Create or upload a mass change template that includes one or more custom fields with the business context “cost center.”
3. Enter new values for the custom fields and run the mass change.
4. Check the affected cost centers and observe the custom field values remain unchanged.
5. As a comparison, open a single cost center and maintain the same custom field values manually; the manual change saves successfully.

• The current version of the Mass Changes functionality for cost centers does not support mass maintenance of custom fields created using the business context Cost Center Master Data (FINS_COST_CENTER).
• Although custom fields may appear in the downloaded spreadsheet template, changes made to these fields are not processed during file upload.

This behavior is currently expected.

When using the Mass Changes functionality in Manage Cost Centers (New Version) (F1443B):

• Use only supported standard cost center fields.
• Do not modify custom fields in the downloaded spreadsheet template.
• Continue maintaining custom field values manually in the cost center master data.

SAP plans to extend the functionality incrementally, and support for custom fields is being considered for a future enhancement.
