During the Provide Personal Data (PDC) step, an error is displayed when submitting the task: Please enter the correct attachment ID. The provided value 0 doesn't exist in the system.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Proxy as an authorized user
2. Navigate to Onboarding dashboard and locate the affected candidate
3. Launch the Provide Personal Data task.
4. Continue through all sections and submit.
5. Observe the error: “Please enter the correct attachment ID. The provided value 0 doesn’t exist in the system.”

The affected candidate contains a corrupted Attachment ID value stored in the PER_PERSON table. Although no attachment is displayed in the user interface, the backend still references an invalid attachment ID, causing validation to fail during Personal Data Collection (PDC) submission.

SAP Engineering can perform a backend data correction to delete the invalid attachment reference from the PER_PERSON table. Once the corrupted record is removed, the PDC step can be submitted successfully. Support refer to Internal Memo.
