 A Custom Extension Field is not visible in the UI

• SAP Cloud for Customer core applications
• ByDesign Studio Lifecycle Management
• SAP Business ByDesign

• The user has the PDI Developer role (PDI_PARTNER_DEVELOPMENT) assigned, which uses a different UI rendering context where PDI/SDK extension fields are not visible.
• This behavior is by design; the PDI Developer user is not intended for UI testing or end-user validation.

Create a separate Business User without any PDI Developer role assignment and use it exclusively for UI testing and field visibility validation.

Recommendation:

Always maintain two separate users in your landscape:

• One for PDI development activities
• One (clean Business User) for UI testing and validation
