3787557 - Payment Information picklists resets and clears typed input on SuccessFactors mobile app [SF MOB]

• On mobile devices, typing in a drop-down search box in any area of Employee Central and pausing for about half a second after entering two or more characters triggers an automatic search, refreshes the screen, removes the typed characters, and displays results.
• The issue does not occur on desktop or laptop browsers.
• Users have difficulty selecting bank routing numbers in payment information due to the input being cleared.
• No error message is shown.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Using a mobile device, navigate to any employee central area that uses a drop-down list with a search box (for example, payment information > bank routing number).
2. Click the drop-down to open the search box.
3. Type two or more characters. OR Delete the whole entry.
4. Observe that the page performs a search, refreshes, clears the typed characters from the search box, and shows results.

Known defect in the mobile drop-down search behavior of employee central that causes a premature search and refresh when users pause after typing; engineering has planned a fix in the 2611 release.

• Use the temporary workaround by:
  

  1) Click the dropdown arrow to open the option list and select from the list of values manually; OR

  2) Select all in the field and then type the search key words (Eg: Bank of America) which bring the matching values and from the list user can select the required value.

  *Both workaround will not close the portlet. More tedious but it's the only working workaround.
  
  
• Monitor for the permanent fix by saving this KBA link, which engineering planned for release 2611 (preview planned October 12, 2026; production planned November 13, 2026). Refer to release communications for availability.
