3787603 - Cannot reduce maximum attachment size for Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Users want to enforce a lower maximum attachment size (for example, 200 KB) for purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• The system allows attachments up to 100 MB and provides no option to reduce this limit through standard configuration.
• No error message is shown; the requirement is a configuration capability that is not available.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Create Purchase Order – Advanced app (Fiori).
2. Add an attachment to a purchase order or create a purchase requisition and add an attachment.
3. Attempt to configure or restrict the maximum attachment size to a value below the system limit (for example, 200 KB).
4. Observe that no standard configuration or option exists to set a lower limit.

The product currently does not provide a standard configuration to reduce the maximum attachment size below the system-defined limit (100 MB) for purchase documents.

1. Note that reducing the maximum attachment size for purchase document attachments below the system limit is not supported in standard configuration.
2. Be aware that there is no standard workaround to enforce a lower attachment size limit (for example, 200 KB).
3. If this capability is required, submit an enhancement request via the Customer Influence portal.
