Symptom

The error "No value mapping found for DOCUMENT_ID_TYPE" is displayed for the eDocuments in the eDocument Cockpit.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the eDocument Cockpit app.
  2. In the Source Document field, enter ABC (where ABC represents the Document ID).
  3. Mark the eDocument ABC.
  4. Open Go to -> Application Log.

The error "No value mapping found for DOCUMENT_ID_TYPE" is displayed.

Cause

Missing configuration for support document types in the value mapping FIX_VALUE_REPLACER, causing the documents to be treated as regular invoices and preventing the system from determining DOCUMENT_ID_TYPE.

Resolution

The standard document type configured for Support documents is CS and for Support Adjustment Notes (credit memo) is CA. 

If additional document types, such as KR – Vendor Invoice (FI) or KG – Vendor Credit Memo, are required, they must be configured in the "FIX_VALUE_REPLACER" value mapping.

The fixed value SUPPORT_DOC_TYPE should be populated with the document types used for Support Documents. Similarly, SUPP_ADJ_DOC_TYPE should be populated with the document types used for Adjustment Notes.
