3787967 - Percentage-Based Dependent Pay Components Keep Change even if Workflow is cancelled

Symptom

When a pay component value is changed, 2 other pay components are changed based as a percentage of that pay component. If a workflow is present and cancelled, the pay components that are dependent on the original change do not change back (this only happens if forward propagation also happens). They keep the value based on the forward propagation even though the workflow is cancelled.

Reproducing the Issue

- A user has 2 compensation information records (1st Jan 2026 and 1st July 2026
- Each record has a main base salary (amount) and a %PCR on the base salary
- Values for both the base salary and the % PC are the same
- via MSS, a new record is created with 1st May 2026 (between the two existing records) where the amount of the base salary is changed
- Upon saving a workflow is triggered
- Decline the Workflow
==> calculated amount of the % PC for the 1st May 2026 record which was not saved is wrongly forward propagated to the 1st July 2026 record

Cause

This is a known issue.

Resolution

This has been resolved by SAP Engineering with a planned implementation date in 2605p17 release. (11 August preview, 13th August production)
