3787996 - Candidates can edit pre-screening questions when CandQuestions is configured as read-only in statuses other than default–Recruiting Management

Candidates are able to edit pre-screening questions in statuses where permission for CandQuestions is configured as read-only.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management 

1. Configure a multi-stage application with pre-screening questions enabled on the job requisition.
2. Grant candQuestions feature-permission to the candidate (C role) in the Default status so candidates can answer during initial application.
3. Configure later application statuses (for example, Background Check) intending read-only behavior for candidate answers (for example, by not granting write in candQuestions and/or setting operator field-permissions such as questionResponse to read).
4. Move a candidate to a later status and have the candidate access the application; observe the candidate can still edit their pre-screening question answers.

• Expected behavior: the candQuestions feature permission grants write access to candidates across application statuses. This design supports scenarios where candidates may be auto-disqualified based on responses and need to correct answers for re-evaluation.

1. Recognize this is expected product behavior: when candQuestions is enabled for candidates to answer at application, candidates can subsequently edit those answers in later statuses.
2. Do not rely on operator field-permissions (for example, questionResponse read) to restrict candidate edits; these permissions apply to users viewing the application, not to candidates.
3. If your process requires locking candidate answers after submission or at specific statuses, submit an enhancement request so this capability can be considered for future releases. Refer to: How to submit enhancement ideas for SAP SuccessFactors.
