• Error APPL_MM_PUR_PO063 occurs when creating a Purchase Requisition from a third‑party sales order that contains service items.
• In the third‑party scenario, the purchase requisition item’s product type (EBAN-PRODUCTTYPE) remains initial instead of being set to the expected service type “2” from table T134.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a Third-Party Sales Order (item category TAS or equivalent) with a service item.
2. System generates a Purchase Requisition automatically.
3. Check the PR item's Product Type field - it remains initial instead of being set to 2 (Service).
4. Attempt to create/process the PR - error APPL_MM_PUR_PO063 is raised.

The issue is due to missing functionality: service items in a third‑party scenario are not supported in Public Edition for PR creation, and there is no released extension point (BAdI) to populate EBAN-PRODUCTTYPE. 

There is currently no supported custom logic or configuration path available in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition to close this gap. This is a functional limitation, not a missing configuration step.
