Symptom

  • JDBC connection test from Data Intelligence to HANA Cloud fails with: Code: 99999, Message: DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to jdbc:sap://:443 [Object is closed: com.sap.db.jdbc.SecureChannelSession@...].
  • Error: Code: 1300004, Message: DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to jdbc:sap://:443 [Object is closed: com.sap.db.jdbc.SecureChannelSession@...].
  • Error: Code: 1, Message: Remote source is down!
  • In some attempts, DNS resolution error is observed: Code: 1300004 or 99999, SQL error code = -709 [Unknown host ...:443].
  • The database is reachable and direct access with the same user credentials works outside Data Intelligence.
